Special..

Last week feb. 5 was my dad's birthday. It's really a weird day, i started thinking about the last time we celebrated his birthday when he was a live... Feb 5 - 2000.. He never had a real birthday party, so i decided to create a birthday party for him.. We decorated the walls with ballons and garlands ,we decorated a special chair, we bought birthday hats and wistles. I made a whole pot of goulash (one of his fave meals) and we invited the whole family. We bought him a gift bag with weels.. So we called him and told him he should come here to our house to celebrate his birthday.. and then he saw all that he was so happy his face .. an unforgettable moment. I always loved to see him smile. He was really happy..thinking back i am so glad we did this not knowing that this was his last birthday he would celebrate among us..he past away a few months after. So now every year on his birthday, i light up a candle, and wish him a happy birthday, eventhough he isn't around anymore, he still lives in my heart !

For this layout i scrapped with Lien's new kit '' Special ''.. it has beautiful subtle elements and papers and really gorgeous wordarts.. i choose special dad.. (happy birthday is not included)

My grandmother and my daughter

A while ago I participated in a spotlight challenge at oscraps. I won a gc from Mystique Designs..

and i had a blast shopping .. i chose the kit ''One Wish'' !

I took this picture Januari 1st this year. We spent the day at my grandmothers house. It was fun, and I enjoyed every second being there. Just to see her cuddling with my kids, having fun with them, makes me think back to were i was younger and always having fun at her house. She is precious to me !

Walking in the Efteling

A few weeks ago we went to the efteling, an amusement park nearby. The kids love it there. Sonja's daughter, stayed a night over here, and the next morning we got op early to go to the efteling. It was cold, it snowed..but it didn't mind. We just kept on walking.. and at the end of the day.. they were tired, and having sore feets lol but we had a wonderful day it was word it every second !

Scrapping mood

It was a grey day here yesterday.. I guess the sun is on a vacation, but I hope she comes back soon !! Monday we went to the movies with the kids. We saw Ice Age 3 lol. It's a great kids movie but I liked the first the most. But it was warm outside so we could hop on our bikes and start to travel in our t-shirt and shorts. But now sadly we must were a sweater and a jeans because it's so cold and rainy. So because of the grey days I had some time to scrap some pages.

I also got in to Facebook lol..OMG that is so cool just love that brein buddies game.. a new addiction lol...I'm off playing !!

Bugs

Een blendje, op deze foto is dennis 3 jaar oud. En hij was gek op kleine beestjes die kropen en vliegen. Regelmatig joeg hij mij dan ook de stuipen op het lijf, als hij trots zijn vangst kwam laten zien. Op de foto showde hij een worm. Daarna deed hij ze in de zandbak..waarna hij dan teleurgesteld was als de beestjes waren verdwenen in de zandbak of beter gezegd 'gevlucht' van dennis' kleine onderzoekende vingertjes !

A blend, on this picture is dennis 3 years old. He just loved little bugs that can crawl or fly. He proudly came in and showed his catched bugs...and often he scared me. On this picture he is proudly showing his wurm. But got dissapointed when he put them in the sandbox and the little bugs dissapeard fast running away of his tiny little fingers !

Photoswapp with Jenny

I just love the photoswapp challenge at Pixelcanvas, you get a partner and then you swapp photo's ! This time I swapped with Jenny a.k.a Justjen. She send me a very sweet picture of her youngest and oldest son. Big brother holding the hand of his younger brother and eating a sandwich SOO CUTE !!

So I got started ..and turned them in to two Cowboys using the Yeehaw kit from Vinnie Pearce..
Here is the layout !!



Jenny made a layout with the picture i have sended to her. It's one from our summer vacation, my 3 kids building a sand castle...wich ofcourse at the end got destroyed by the upcoming water LoL.... Jenny I love what you have done with my picture, thanks a lot !!

My girl

She is going trough a difficult phase..called ''Puberty''. Nothing is good, she thinks she's ugly..her hear won't grow long (genetic fault), she more and more noticed that she's different then her friends and other people (autism) etc. I wish that that she saw how I see her, a beautiful girl, with an adorable smile and the most beautiful blue eyes i've ever seen and even though she has autism, she has a beautiful sweet and soft personality, she is just beautiful just the way she is !!

I've made these pages, just to show her how beautiful she is !

At the left: I used Elements from Explore Jungle, Different Brush Strokes 1 and acrylic frame from Feifei and on both layouts beautifull wordarts created by Crea_Zara.

My first scrap creation in photoshop

I was invited to play along in a game that is started by Zibri1 and Sabrina and it goes from BLOG to BLOG. What a great game hahaha ! So i looked and searched really hard because, i didn't save all my layouts on my computer.

My boys

I looked in the photo albums from our kids and I found some old pictures from my oldest son. His birthday is coming up, and looking at the pictures I have to say that the 12 years flew by. He was born with a weight from 3020gr, and 50cm tall and now he is 1,50m and his weight is 47kg. He loves to play soccer, and hopes to be a proffesional some day. He's is turning into a man! Sometimes I wish he was a little baby again.

Our youngest son was born 9 weeks earlier than he supposed to be born. His weight was 1340gr, and lenght was 40cm. Now he is 7 years old, he loves to play with his 'Playmobile' toys.
