We had a lot of fun celebrating new years eve. Did you celebrate it good too ?

Pure happiness...
When I look at my kids, I feel happy that they are part of my life, my 2 teenagers each on their way to grow up, getting more independand every day, our youngest expanding his world. We had such a rocky and bumpy 2011 and my wish for 2012 is that rest comes back in our house. With al things happening here they still give me a lot of joy and happiness.

Expressions..

Our 9 year old is like a little clown.... he has so many expressions on his face, especially when I have the camera with me to take photographs of him. I have to take at least 20 pictures before I finally have one that is without a funny or silly face but just with a normal smile.. Not that it isn't funny because I usually end up laughing about the funny faces he made ! Last week we went to the party of Sinterklaas, (celebration in holland) We went to Slagharen (amusementpark) and he had tons of fun and so did we. We went together with one of my best friends, and ofcourse, i couldn't resist to take LOTSSSSS of pictures......

and there was this Funny Silly Face.. captured

He is soooooooo cute doing that !

It inspired me to create a kit called ''Expressions''

Like I wrote before.. my hard drive is filled with photo's of my kids playing. Especially from the boys.

And for me it's time to collect them in a photobook, as a reminder for them when they ever decide to leave us hahaha. The kit playtime, isn't with doodles etc. It has for my album the essential needs. Because i wanted to scrap ''boys'' books, it has just simple elements like tapes paints and strips etc. When it's done i will show off my album :-)

Teenagers in love..

It's kind of weird for parents (i think) to see the kids having boy / girlfriends.. to see them walk hand in hand, hearing them giggle.. see them hug and sometimes even see them....well you can imagine !

Mom can she stay over for diner? Can I go to the movies with her? Talks on the phone .. chatting till very late..Our kids are growing up .. no more playing with action man, climbing etc. Kid time is over.. a new fase has began. Even though it's a bit weird for us it's also soooooooooo cute to see them like this ! And I am very happy for them to experience these ''new feelings'' !

he and his girlfriend a cute couple !

Somewhere wind...blow something beautiful in my mailbox today..

It totally made my day !!

I love art, not always but sometimes a painting or a graphic just catches the eye..

like this piece of art ..

When I saw it, it immediatly had my attention, I felt like my life was captured in this image. The tree, the leafs, the road, the brook, the hills..the sun just everything with the right colors. I think when an artist creates his art, he or she always touch ones soul or heart. When everyone look at the same piece of art, will feels something different,

that is the most beautiful thing of art.

In this case.. Heather al credits go to you ! You are a true artist, this is a real piece of art

and I love it !!

My husband......turned 35 today !!

A busy day lol his parents are coming to visit , and then in the evening we will gourmet with our kids

I can't believe he is now 35 time really flies..

I got to know him when we were just somewhere arround 16-17 feels like yesterday

Tower of terror

In feb. 2009 we went to EuroDisney. We had a great time there.

My niece went with us, because our middle son didn't want to go there. She is in the same age as my daughter. At one point they saw the tower of terror, and they wanted to get on it.. so did we..

We joined the line for waiting, not knowing what was about to happen. We got in an elevator car we sat down, and then the doors closed the ride began.. we went back forward up till top waiting till it would drop.. doors went open we had an overview of the parc. It went down up.. and with great speed ! I loved it and so did my hubby hahaha....even our youngest had the time of his life !!

But those 2 girlies they screamed our ears of... was it out of pleasure? lol When they got outside they sat down, they looked as if they had seen some ghosts... wich is normal in the tower of terror.. they were white and feeling a bit dizzy.. werent able to speak for about 10 minutes !!

I hope we can go there back soon, I love Eurodisney, and i am curious if they still would choose to ride the tower of terror hahaha

Frame it in 06 & Always loved wordarts

Hi,

25 september 2000 my dad passed away, this september it will be 11 years ago. It was the most terrible day in my life so far. I think when you are a kid, you have a kind of expectation of parents ''always being there'', even when I got married and had 2 kids at that time, never expected to say farewell so soon. He was way to young (45) ! And now looking back, thinking of the good memories and looking at some pictures from then, I realize more then ever that i really really miss him. This is one of my fave pictures of him. He loved sitting in his backyard staring at the sky watching his pigeons fly through the sky and come back to him. He was so relaxed and at ease. Even our dog ''Rocco'' enjoyed it...

They were best friends, and now they are together, and I am sure that one day we will meet again ! I am making a book of pictures filled with him, it's difficult but i am sure it will be a precious memorie book for my kids, his grandchildren. That way they can learn a bit about who he was, and what he did. Working at that I had a hard time of finding wordarts about ''Losing a loved one''. A friend said why don't you make a set, so I did, not the best subject, but it's a part of life...

And I made a new set of frames. 5 Doodled round hanging frames, for Personal use and Commercial use.

What a week lol Finally summer vacation officially started here, al 3 kids are having vacation YAY, no more getting up at 6, no more hurries that every lunchbox is ready before 8.. no more waiting for the bus..

So when little man came home from school today..... we celebrated hahaha eating french fries and then in the evening we went swimming. It was a lot of fun !!

Our may vacation is almost over.. kids are getting back in rythm for school and today I enjoy the hot temp outside, for this time of year its very warm outside. I want to jump in a nice pool but instead i will go see RIO the new movie in the theatre with my son and his friend and afterwords.. we will probably endup at Mc Donalds, because the boys want a happy meal lol ..

..... The sun is finally giving us some vitamines ....

I was so busy with al kinds of things like april 1st my dear grandmother turned 77 years old. She is such a sweet grandmother and I love her with al my heart. She has been like a second mother for me..

Normally we give her presents on her birthday, but this time I decided to do something different.. lol

I baked a cake for her. Al pink flowers on it. It was a lot of work ! But i loved doing it :-) It tasted good aswel hahaha... here is the photo of the cake, I turned it into a card for her so she can look at it when al tummies were filled lol.

And I have been working with Sabrina on a new kit called Chirping birds. It's a spring themed !

Whoehoewwwww i'm soooo happy and excited !!!

I have been working on a mega project with Lien (click photo designs) It's really huge, we had a wonderful time and we never thought we could get it done lol but we did it !! And we were so happy and pleased with the result... We also had some amazing comments from the CT girls and designers

Sabrina thought we probably didn't sleep the past weeks,

And Corinna wanted to ask for a drug control.....

we explained that our drug was.......Chocolate Mousse and lot's and lot's of coffee..

Last week feb. 5 was my dad's birthday. It's really a weird day, i started thinking about the last time we celebrated his birthday when he was a live... Feb 5 - 2000.. He never had a real birthday party, so i decided to create a birthday party for him.. We decorated the walls with ballons and garlands ,we decorated a special chair, we bought birthday hats and wistles. I made a whole pot of goulash (one of his fave meals) and we invited the whole family. We bought him a gift bag with weels.. So we called him and told him he should come here to our house to celebrate his birthday.. and then he saw all that he was so happy his face .. an unforgettable moment. I always loved to see him smile. He was really happy..thinking back i am so glad we did this not knowing that this was his last birthday he would celebrate among us..he past away a few months after. So now every year on his birthday, i light up a candle, and wish him a happy birthday, eventhough he isn't around anymore, he still lives in my heart !

For this layout i scrapped with Lien's new kit '' Special ''.. it has beautiful subtle elements and papers and really gorgeous wordarts.. i choose special dad.. (happy birthday is not included)

Little discoverer

As a mom of two boys in different ages, they keep on surprizing me with al their discoveries, our boys love bugs, they find under bricks and rocks, they even build them a house made old wood, they feed them leaves they find in the yard. Although now ith al the snow that was they didn't find that much, but they discovered other things, like girlfriends our oldest, and walking to grandma's house alone our youngest... they keep on discovering, and that is what this kit is about...
